TVWebLinks
International Computers' TVWebLinks is designed to simplify producing Interactive
Television and Distance Learning videos.
A live or prerecorded standard television signal is sent into the input
of the TVWebLinks' box. The TVWebLinks' box will encode specific website
addresses or links within the video signal. The output encoded signal from
the TVWebLinks' box can then be recorded to videotape or transmitted live
to viewers' televisions.
When the video is viewed, the previously recorded link is encountered
in the video signal, which causes a WebTV icon to appear in the upper
right portion of the television screen. Viewers simply click the on-screen
icon to see the web link overlayed onto their television screen.
Additionally, the viewers have the option to toggle between the link content
(overlayed image) and the television program. [top]

TVWebLinks Greatly Reduces Course Creation Time
TVWebLinks simplifies, and thereby eliminates, costly steps typically associated
with creating Distance Learning videos. TVWebLinks provides the capability to add
links live (real-time) or to videotape (post-production). The links
or URLs are easily encoded using International Computers' exclusive OneClick
technology, which allows encoding with a single mouse click.
With TVWebLinks, the actual content of the links or URLs can be developed
before or after encoding. This means existing videos no longer become
obsolete since web-based content can be updated without modifying the video.
TVWebLinks encodes into standard video signals. This allows viewers
to receive the video signal by any conventional means: videotapes, local
access, satellite broadcast, etc. [top] [home]
TVWebLinks Makes Distance Learning Interactive
TVWebLinks allows distance learning students to click an on-screen WebTV
icon and have class assignments, reference material, and the entire transcript
of the video retrieved and displayed. Participation is extended to include
the capability to e-mail educators and classmates, ask questions, as well
as, complete assignments and evaluations online. [top]
